OUR SNJ ROCK BAND!

WHO WE ARE -  Blackbird Rock Co. was founded with one goal in mind: to bring together talented students who share a love for rock music and the desire to push their creative boundaries. Whether you’re a guitarist, drummer, vocalist, bassist, or keyboardist, there’s a place for you here. We believe in the spirit of collaboration, the thrill of performing live, and the magic that happens when like-minded musicians come together.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT -  As part of Blackbird Rock Co., you'll experience what it means to be in a real band. From jamming in our weekly rehearsals to performing live gigs, you'll develop not only as a musician but also as a performer. Here’s what you’ll gain from being a part of our rock family:

2024-2025 SEASON
OCTOBER 7, 2024-APRIL 27, 2025 

  • Blackbird Rock Co. members must commit to the entire season.

  • Rehearsals are Mondays, 7:00-9:30PM

  • Rehearsals will take place at our Millard studio – 5244 S. 136th Street, Omaha 68137

  • Performances will be scheduled throughout the season 

TUITION

  • $699.00 or 5 monthly installments of $140

ELIGIBILITY

  • Musicians in grades 9-12 are welcome to audition. It is not a requirement that you be an SNJ Studio private student to be in Blackbird Rock Co.

  • The following are needed:    Female Vocalists,  Male Vocalists,  Lead Guitar,  Rhythm Guitar,            Drums,  Keyboard

AUDITIONS:
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2024
BEGINNING AT NOON 
  • Each musician will have a ten-minute audition time slot 

  • Audition times must be reserved in advance 

  • Auditions will take place at our Millard studio – 5244 S. 136th Street, Omaha 68137

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

Each audition will consist of playing or singing a rock song of your choice and a short dialogue with the panel about skill level, music background, and any other inquiries.  

Please prepare the following for your audition: 

  • A rock song of your own choosing, from any era, that showcases your skills and  independence with your individual instrument  

  • Please bring your own track 

  • Mics, keyboard, and drum kit will be provided for auditions. Guitarists and bassists will  need to bring their own instrument/amp
