Voice

B.A., Creighton University., Vocal Performance

Emily is a dedicated soprano and passionate teacher from Nebraska. She earned her BA in Vocal Performance from Creighton University. Emily is currently teaching voice at SNJ Studio of Music and dance in the Omaha Metro, specializing in Tap and Musical Theatre.

Emily's teaching career began at Motion 41, now AMB School of Dance, where she started as a teacher assistant and choreographer. She also danced with American Midwest Ballet's second company for three years. Her commitment to teaching is matched by her extensive training in dance and voice over several years.

Emily's performance experience is extensive. She recently trained and performed at the Berlin Opera Academy, where she portrayed the Sandmännchen (The Sleep Fairy) in Hänsel und Gretel. She has performed with Resonance, Omaha’s local semi-professional choir, and has been involved in numerous master classes across the US, particularly for tap.

In the Omaha community, Emily has performed with the Papillion Area Community Theatre and Ralston Community Theatre. Her notable performance credits from Creighton University include roles such as Lita Encore in Ruthless!, Assistant Director and Choreographer for Next to Normal, and Lily in The Secret Garden.

What Emily enjoys most about performing is connecting with her audience. Outside of the theatrical world, she crochets, gardens, and enjoys grabbing Starbucks with her dog Kismet.

Berlin Opera Academy:

In August, Emily will travel to Berlin to train at the Berlin Opera Academy. During the program, she will portray the Sandmännchen (The Sleep Fairy) role in Hänsel und Gretel, and will also participate in masterclasses, German language classes, and agent auditions.
