Oscar Vázquez Medrano is a pianist from Mexico City who specializes in Mexican and Spanish music as well as the piano works of Chopin and Liszt. He recently completed his doctorate at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he studied with Steinway Artist Dr. Mark Clinton. He was recently a guest artist for “The Ponce Project” and performed at the College Music Society National Conference in 2021. Oscar received his master´s degree from Kansas State University under the teaching of Dr. Slawomir Dobrzanski and his bachelor´s degree from The National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), where he studied with Jesus Ma. Figueroa. Oscar has performed throughout Mexico and internationally in the United States and Slovakia.
