While at Ralston, Tyler accompanied all the choirs, assistant directed the show choirs, led the show bands, conducted the school musical, and directed the girls show choir at Ralston Middle School. Having his vocal training with Joel Johnston here at SNJ Studios, Tyler is grateful to be a part of the vocal faculty here. A former member of Millard West’s “West In The Groove'', he choreographs, arranges, and adjudicates for show choirs as well as other music programs in the area and teaches show choir audition prep lessons here at the studio. On top of teaching voice lessons, he has also been involved in the musical theater and show choir camps at SNJ as accompanist and assistant director.
When he's not teaching or performing, Tyler has a passion for being a part of athletics and physical fitness. Since 2018, he has been a football official for Nebraska high schools and has aspirations to become a college football official. To keep up with the athletes on the field, he attends a Crossfit gym 5 days a week and enjoys competing in crossfit events in the gym. One of his other favorite pastimes being one of the PA announcers for Elkhorn North High School sports to support his students outside of the classroom. Indulging in his love of dogs and serving others in the community, Tyler’s golden retriever, Champ, is a certified therapy dog who loves to visit local hospitals and facilities to provide pet therapy to residents. Champ even visits the studio occasionally to provide comfort and support for Tyler’s students during lessons!
Given all his experience in several facets of music programs and passion for teaching, Tyler is a wonderful choice for anyone seeking to further develop their skills and technique as a singer and performer.
